The plans for the 2015 Catholic Men’s Conference are coming together and more detailed information will be coming out shortly. In the meantime, we wanted to get the word out to save the date. One change that we made to this year’s event was to move the date and push it further into the spring to get away from the inevitable weather that early March brings in Northern Michigan. So please, put the following on your calendars new:
What: 2015 Diocesan Catholic Men’s Conference
When: SATURDAY, APRIL 18th 2015
Where: Traverse City St. Francis High School
The schedule will be similar to the past years and we will welcome our new Bishop, Bishop Steven Raica at the event who will deliver one of the afternoon talks and preside at Mass at the conclusion of the conference. Please begin to the spread the word and look for future e-mails in the next few weeks with more detailed information. We look forward to seeing you there, and while you’re at it, grab a friend to bring with you! God bless your day.
“TAKING DOWN GOLIATH“ – MONDAY, APRIL 28th,, 2014 at 7:00pm, St. Francis High School, Kohler Auditorium, Traverse City (Male Audience)
Matt recounts how he became addicted to pornography and how, by the grace of God, broke free from that addiction. He offers 5 practical strategies which he says men must implement if they desire to live lives of heroic purity in a pornographic age. Archbishop Terrence Prendergast said after hearing this talk that “[Matt] proclaims Jesus’ message of hope and healing, and he offers concrete, practical advice on ways to break free from pornography’s strongholds. I believe Matthew is reclaiming the truth, goodness, and beauty of human sexuality, and I support his work in the Church.” For more information regarding the “Taking Down Goliath” presentation, email: firstname.lastname@example.org. Hosted by “Absolute Catholic Men’s Group”.
Matt Fradd is an Apologist and Chastity Speaker from Catholic Answers and is Australian by birth and Catholic by choice. After experiencing a profound conversion at World Youth Day in Rome in 2000, Matt committed himself to inviting others to know Jesus Christ and the Church He founded. As a missionary in Canada and Ireland, Matt proclaimed the Gospel to over ten thousand teens and young adults. Matt has also served the Church through full-time lay ministry in Australia, Ireland, Canada, and Texas. Matt has been seen or heard on the BBC, EWTN, The Irish Morning Show, and Catholic Answers Live, where he has shared his personal story of sin, redemption, and healing to people all over the world.

Fr. Larry Richards School Talk – March 1, 2013
The Men’s Conference on Saturday, March 2nd, was a huge success. We packed in around 350 men into the auditorium at Traverse City St. Francis High School to listen to Father Larry Richards. It was a blessed day indeed.
We don’t have to tell the people of the Diocese of Gaylord that we have the best Bishop in the country, but for those of you that don’t know Bishop Hebda, here is proof that he joined us on Friday night between 9:30-10:00 p.m. to set up chairs for the conference the next day. Now that’s a humble Shepherd!
Father Larry’s message is direct and will challenge and benefit all in becoming a better Father, Husband, and Man.
